摘要：The float valve () controls water level e.g. in an associated plant pot. A housing() has a water inlet () with an inlet port (), a float () able to rise and fall with the level ofthe water in the housing (), a valve operating mechanism () able to open and close theport (), and an actuator means () to operate the valve operating mechanism when the

float () rises and falls to predetermined levels. For opening and closing the inlet port (),there is a valve operating mechanism comprising a valve operator () having a valvemember () and a lever () mounted for pivoting movement about generally central pivotpoint (). Actuator means () is coupled to the float () and switches between a standbycondition an active condition respectively to the closed and open positions of the valveoperating mechanism (). The actuator means () comprises an over-center mechanismhaving an actuator () which is operatively associated with the valve operator (), a floatfollower () movable in response to rising and falling of the float (), and a springmechanism () acting between force points on the float follower () and the actuator ().
