摘要：Electrical devices, such as rectilinearly adjustable potentiometers, are providedin which a hollow housing has a wall portion formed of thermoplastic polymeric materialsuch as nylon and having an opening to accommodate a rotary adjusting member,typically a metal lead screw, the lead screw having a transverse retaining rib completelyembedded in the polymeric material of the wall portion. Though the wall of the openingembraces the adjusting member, and the retaining rib is completely embedded, theadjusting member is rotatable relative to the housing. A method based on ultrasonicinsertion is disclosed for making the devices.
