中考英语作文一般80词，标点符号大小写符合要求，意思符合题目要求，别漏写内容，时态正确，行文连贯，符合英语说话习惯，绝对不要出现汉语式英语，保证正确的前提下使用复合句，书写再美观就可以得搞分了。英语中考作文是重头戏，每个学生都渴望写出一篇满分作文。那么怎样才能在作文中不失分？纵观这几年扬州英语中考作文的题型，我发现都是采用提示性作文。提示性作文要求考生根据汉语或英语提示，有时还需借助图表，通过联想将图表所示的内容写成一篇中心明确、要点完整、文理清晰、语言流畅的文章。
如何写好提示性作文，我们可以按照“作文三部曲”的方式进行：
一、准备。仔细阅读提示文字，找到要点，明确中心。分段审题完毕之后，还要确定这篇文章你将分哪几个语段，每个语段都将写些什么。所以同学们最好花几分钟时间用英语简单地列个提纲。确定时态，根据提示，要考虑好每一段将用什么时态。中考作文经常要求学生至少使用两种时态，如果是一般现在时，一定要注意主语是“三单”时，谓语动词加“s”的问题。
二、作文。经过前期的充分准备，要想写出一篇切题、流畅的文章还需要在写作中注意以下几个方面的问题：1.要紧扣要点，充分利用所给提示或其他要求，按照先前的准备去写。每个要点要适当发挥一两句，才能达到100词左右的要求。２.要写好句子。写句子要避免中式英语，不能按母语逐词逐句翻译，要用英语进行思维，按英语的语法规则组织语言，否则势必会漏洞百出，语句不通，不伦不类；要注意避免使用自己无把握的词句，要用自己最熟悉的书中学过的词句，不要弄巧成拙；写句子时要注意灵活表达，遇到自己一时想不起来的词组或句型要另辟蹊径，寻找自己熟悉的同义或近义词组、句型来代替，这样不仅能有效地节约时间，还能提高得分率；表达要避免过多重复，用词可以丰富些。好的作文必定是显示水平的作文，对于同一种意思，要用多种表达方式；务必使用两三句复合句，不能老是用简单句，让人觉得你水平有限；句子要有逻辑性，要连贯。好的中考作文并不是简单的句子相加，你可以适当地用一些串联词。
三、检查。写完之后不算完，要用做改错题的眼光去挑自己文章中的毛病，要从以下几方面认真检查一番：1.看内容是否切题，有无遗漏要点；2.看词语使用是否正确，有无语法或用词上的错误；3.看时态、语态、主谓是否一致，句子成分是否缺失，名词的单复数，固定搭配，人称代词的格，形容词或副词的级使用是否正确；4.看单词拼写、字母大小写是否有错，标点符号有无遗漏或用
