Last summer, I took a trip to Beijing, China with my family. The most unforgettable part of the trip was when we climbed the Great Wall of China.

When we arrived at the Great Wall, I was amazed by its size. The giant stone walls stretched across the mountains as far as the eye could see. We climbed up the steep steps carefully. The steps were uneven and some were very tall. It took a lot of effort to reach the top.

As we climbed higher, the view became more incredible. We could see the Wall winding through the hills in both directions. I felt like I had stepped back in time. I imagined what it must have been like for the ancient Chinese to build this massive structure by hand.

When we finally reached the top, I felt extremely proud. The climb was difficult but the view was worth it. Looking out over the Wall and the mountains, I felt I was standing on top of the world. The Great Wall had protected China for thousands of years and now I was part of its history.
