My Favorite Places to Visit
Hi friends! My name is Emma and I'm 10 years old. I love traveling and going on adventures with my family. We've been to so many cool places around the world. I want to tell you about some of my favorite cities that you just have to visit someday! First up is New York City in the United States. This place is amazing! It's a huge, bustling city that never sleeps. One of the best things is all the giant skyscrapers. They're so tall you have to bend your neck way back to see the tops. My favorite is the Empire State Building - you can go right up to the observation deck on the 102nd floor and get a bird's eye view of the entire city! Just don't look down if you're scared of heights.
Another awesome NYC landmark is the Statue of Liberty. It's this enormous green statue of a woman holding a torch, standing on an island in the harbor. You can take a ferry ride right up to the island and climb up into the crown at the top. My
little legs were so tired after all those stairs, but it was worth it for the incredible view.
New York has so much amazing food too. You've got to try authentic New York pizza - the foldable slices are bigger than your head! And the bagels and hot dogs are delicious. Just don't ask me to try any more Sushi after that one time...my tummy still gets queasy thinking about it.
Another city I love is Tokyo in Japan. It's like a neon candy land full of the craziest, most futuristic stuff you've ever seen! The streets are packed with people and flashing video billboards as far as the eye can see. And the fashions are so wild - people dress up in these bright, outrageous outfits just for fun.
My favorite place in Tokyo was the Robot Restaurant, which is just as nutty as it sounds. It's this bizarre dinner show with robots, dancers in crazy costumes, lasers and light shows, and enough noise and chaos to make your head spin. I'm pretty sure there were zombies and dinosaurs there too! It's complete madness but so entertaining.
We also got to go to a kawaii monster cafe decorated with superdeformed character statues and toys. The food was almost too adorable to eat...almost! And the maid cafes are just weird,
with the staff dressing up in maid costumes and treating you like a master or princess. Definitely a unique Japanese experience. The temples and shrines in Tokyo are incredible too. Everything is so intricate and beautiful, with bright colors and elaborate carvings. Just walking around places like Senso-ji Temple makes you feel like you've traveled back in time. And I loved watching the deer wander around freely in the parks - you're not supposed to feed them but I may have sneaked a few crackers to some particularly cute ones.
Finally, I have to tell you about Sydney, Australia because it's just an all-around awesome place! The weather is amazing, the beaches have soft white sand and are perfect for swimming and surfing, and the people are so friendly.
You've got to take a ferry ride across the harbor for stunning views of the Sydney Opera House, which looks like a giant white sailboat made of tiles. The building is absolutely iconic with its amazing architecture. And right next door is the colossal Sydney Harbour Bridge that you can actually climb up! My parents didn't let me do it because I'm too little, but the views from the top must be breathtaking.
Instead, we visited Taronga Zoo, which is inside the harbor and has a gondola ride over the animal exhibits. We saw
kangaroos, wombats, koalas, and all sorts of unique Australian critters up close. The zookeepers even let us pet and feed some of the friendlier ones. Cuddling a koala is just about the cutest thing ever!
For fun, we took surfing lessons at Bondi Beach and I was able to ride a few tiny waves without wiping out...until the very end when I ate a mouthful of seawater. It tasted disgusting but surfing was still a total blast. We also went on a whale watching tour during migration season and saw some huge humpback whales breaching the surface. Out of everything in Sydney, getting splashed by those monster whale spouts was definitely the most memorable!
Anyway, those are some of the highlights from my favorite travel destinations so far. New York, Tokyo, and Sydney are all amazing cities loaded with incredible sights, activities, foods, and experiences that you can't find anywhere else. I feel so lucky to have visited them and I hope you get the chance to go too one day. Just do me a favor and try not to get lost - big cities can be awfully confusing for us kids to navigate alone!

My Favorite City to Visit: Beijing, China
Hi there, my foreign friend! I hope you're doing well. Today, I want to tell you all about my favorite city to visit - Beijing, the capital of China. Beijing is an amazing place with a rich history, delicious food, and so many fun things to see and do. I love going there with my family during our school breaks!
Let me start by telling you about the incredible historical sites in Beijing. One of the most famous ones is the Forbidden City. This was the imperial palace where emperors lived a long time ago. It's a massive complex with beautiful traditional Chinese architecture and hundreds of rooms! I love exploring the different halls and gardens. My favorite part is walking across the iconic marble bridges over the rivers.
Another must-see historical site is the Great Wall of China. Parts of the Great Wall wind through the mountains near Beijing. It's incredible to think that this massive wall was built so long ago to protect ancient China. When you're up on the wall, you get amazing views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. Just be prepared for lots of steep steps!
If you get a chance, you should also visit the Summer Palace. This was a resort for the emperors to escape the heat of the city. The gardens are breathtaking, with colorful pavilions, temples,
and a huge lake. You can even take a boat ride across the lake. It's such a peaceful and beautiful place.
There are also tons of fun cultural experiences in Beijing. One of my favorites is watching a Chinese acrobat show. The performers do incredible flips, contortions, and balancing acts. It's amazing what they can do! You can also see shows with traditional Chinese opera singing and dancing.
If you're looking for something more modern and kid-friendly, Beijing has several awesome theme parks. My personal favorite is the Happy Valley amusement park. It has tons of thrilling roller coasters and rides. But maybe don't go on the upside-down roller coasters right after eating all that delicious street food!
No matter what you're interested in, Beijing has something for everyone. The mix of ancient history and modern attractions makes it an unforgettable place. Just be prepared to do a LOT of walking, because Beijing is a massive city.

But do you know what my favorite part of Sydney is? The beaches! Bondi Beach is one of the most famous beaches in the world, and it's right in the city. My Favorite Cities to Visit Around the World
Hi there! My name is Andy, and I'm a 10-year-old boy from China. I love traveling and exploring new places with my family. Even though I'm still a kid, I've been lucky enough to visit many amazing cities worldwide. Today, I want to share with you three of my favorite cities that I think you should add to your travel bucket list!
The first city I want to tell you about is New York City in the United States. New York is one of the most famous cities globally, and it's easy to see why. The first thing that amazed me about New York was how tall the buildings were! The skyscrapers seem to touch the clouds, and looking up at them made me feel tiny. But what I loved most about New York was the energy and
excitement everywhere. The streets were always buzzing with people rushing around, taxis honking their horns, and flashing neon lights. I felt like I was in a movie!
One of my favorite things to do in New York was to visit Central Park. It's this massive park right in the middle of the city, with beautiful lakes, gardens, and even a zoo! It was hard to believe that such a peaceful, green space could exist surrounded by towering skyscrapers. My family and I spent an entire day exploring Central Park, renting bikes, having a picnic, and watching performers on the streets.

The last city I want to share with you is Tokyo, Japan. Tokyo is one of the busiest and most modern cities I've ever been to, but it's also filled with amazing history and culture. The first thing that struck me about Tokyo was how clean and organized everything was, despite how crowded it was. The streets were spotless, and everyone followed the rules and respected each other's space.
One of the coolest things we did in Tokyo was to visit a robot cafe. These cafes have robots that serve you food and drinks and even put on little shows! The robots were so lifelike and could dance, talk, and interact with us. It was like something out of a science fiction movie.
We also visited many beautiful temples and shrines in Tokyo, like the famous Sensoji Temple. These places were so serene and peaceful, despite being right in the heart of the busy city. We learned about the history and traditions of Shinto and Buddhism, and even got to witness a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Another highlight of our trip to Tokyo was experiencing the incredible food. From sushi to ramen to strange (but delicious!) snacks like octopus balls, every meal was an adventure for our taste buds. We also got to try on traditional Japanese kimonos and watch a Sumo wrestling tournament, which was amazing. Those are just a few of my favorite cities that I've been lucky enough to visit so far. Each place was so unique and special, with its own incredible sights, sounds, and experiences. I feel so fortunate to have had these opportunities to explore the world at such a young age.

My Favorite Places to Visit
Hi friends! My name is Emily and I'm 10 years old. I love traveling to new and exciting places with my family. There are so many amazing cities and towns all around the world that I want to tell you about!
One of my absolute favorite places is New York City. It's a huge, bustling city that never sleeps! The towering skyscrapers make me feel so tiny. I love looking up at the Empire State Building – it's ginormous! Times Square is amazing too with all the bright lights, electronic billboards, and crowds of people. We went to see a Broadway show which was magical. The actors were fantastic!
Central Park is right in the middle of the city and it's like having a massive park and forest inside the concrete jungle. You can rent rowboats and go around the lake, ride bikes on the paths, or just relax on the grass. The zoo there has cool animals
like polar bears and penguins. My favorite things were the carousels and playgrounds though – so fun!
Another city I adore is San Francisco. It's builton a bunch of steep hills which makes it feel like a fun playground to explore. We rode the historic cable cars which was a blast! They clank and clatter up and down the hilly streets. The Golden Gate Bridge spanning the bay is iconic – we walked across the entire 1.7 mile length which was tiring but had amazing views.
Alcatraz Island off the coast used to be a maximum security prison. We took a cruise out to the island and got to go inside and see the cells where famous criminals like Al Capone were locked up. It was creepy but fascinating! Fisherman's Wharf has awesome seafood restaurants and there are always street performers and musicians around. I tried cracking open and eating a crab there – it was delicious but very messy!
My favorite European city we've visited is Rome in Italy. It's one of the oldest cities in the world with incredible ancient Roman ruins everywhere. The Colosseum where gladiators fought is mind-blowing – it's a massive arena that could hold 50,000 people! You can also see the remains of temples, houses, baths, and stadiums that are thousands of years old.
The Vatican City right in the heart of Rome is the headquarters of the Catholic church. St. Peter's Basilica is the largest church in the world with breathtaking artwork and architecture. We got to see the Pope give a speech which was a really special experience. I loved throwing coins into the famous Trevi Fountain and making a wish too.
Italian food is out of this world! Pizza, pasta, gelato – I probably ate my weight in all the delicious food. The best was getting fresh hot pizza from a street vendor and eating it right there on the sidewalk. Simple but sooooo yummy!
Another one of my favorite cities is Sydney, Australia. It's a beautiful waterfront city with an iconic opera house right on the harbor. The outside of the building looks like huge white sailboats! We went on a tour inside and the theaters were stunning.
One of the highlights was climbing up on the arched roof of the Sydney Harbour Bridge – it was a little scary being so high up but the views over the city and harbor were incredible. We also went to Bondi Beach which had gorgeous golden sand and awesome waves for surfing. Australia has such cool wildlife too like cuddly koalas, hopping kangaroos, and duckbilled platypuses.
My final top pick is Tokyo, Japan. It's the biggest, busiest city I've ever been to with masses of people everywhere! The neon lights and signs are dazzling, especially in the Shinjuku district. We stayed in a traditional Japanese inn called a ryokan which had awesome Japanese gardens, outdoor hot spring baths, and we even wore kimonos.
I loved wandering through the ancient Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines with their iconic pagoda towers. The Super Nintendo World section of the Universal Studios theme park was my favorite though – it looked just like you jumped into a real life video game world! The food in Japan was delightfully different with sushi, ramen noodles, yakitori skewers and more.
Those are some of the best cities I've been fortunate enough to visit so far. I can't wait to keep exploring this amazing world we live in! There are so many other places on my bucket list like London, Paris, Cairo, the Amazon rainforest, and more. Hopefully you can visit some of these awesome destinations too. Happy travels!
