摘要：This invention relates to a image forming apparatus comprising an image carrier,charging means, image exposing measuring means, surface correction toner imageforming means for forming a toner image extending in parallel to a direction of a rotationaxis of the image carrier at a non-image area on the surface of the image carrier and acontroller for changing a formation condition of the surface correction toner imageformed parallel to the direction of the rotation axis of the image carrier at the non-imagearea on the surface of the image carrier by the surface correction toner image formingmeans, according to the surface roughness or the physical property value reflecting thesurface roughness of the image carrier measured by the measuring means.
